Leather and woodworking, electrical welding, oil pressing, cereal grinding…
There are many craft trades and they are often difficult to practise for craftspeople who do not have access to appropriate facilities. In the Zongo Bluezone, there are plans to create what in West Africa is called a multifunctional platform, and which can cater to a whole host of trades, each more rewarding than the last.
Thanks to the LMP electrical battery, developed by the Bolloré Group, the platform will have a supply of clean, constant energy, enabling craftspeople to express their art. They in turn will be able to train young people who want to pick up the torch of these traditional trades.
Talented young people will also be able to take part in a series of events ranging from exhibitions to reading competitions, and from poetry to concerts.
