On Saturday, September 26, the multipurpose room of Zongo Bluezone will host the final of the Start Up contest launched last month, to discover and support new talents in Benin entrepreneurship.
Following the call for applications, 38 Beninese young leaders of projects, aged 18-30 years, with an interest in sectors of innovative activities such as agribusiness, environment, ICT, health, education or energy, submitted theirs files.
From September 15 to 17, study of the various applications and interviews with candidates allowed the first jury to select fifteen potential projects.
Benoit DANDJINOU and Charles VIDJANNAGNI, two experienced coaches in entrepreneurship applied themselves to teach participants the basic rules of the business world. During two days of training, candidates gained knowledge that allowed them to refine their business plan.
At the end of this phase, the coaches made a new selection and chose the 10 best projects which will be presented to the public and have been championed before an audience of Beninese personalities and experienced entrepreneurs.
A panel representing Benin private and public sector will select, during the great finale on Sept. 26, 2015, the top five budding entrepreneurs who will benefit from access to the Start Up Center for one year, financial support and customized monitoring.
